HPE has arranged special hotel room rates with the event hotels during the conference.

We ask the participants NOT to contact the hotel directly but to book their hotel accommodation through our registration website.

Each delegate is responsible for making their own flight arrangements.

Taxis are readily available at Lyon and Geneva Airport. A taxi ride from the airport to Grenoble will cost around €150/170 one way/day rate.

Please note that shuttle services are NOT organized from the airports to Grenoble.
Badges
Badges are nominative and non-transferable.
Delegate name badges can be collected from the registration desk on arrival at the HPE main lobby.
For security reasons, badges must be worn and be clearly visible at all times during the day and evening events.
Access to the venue will not be allowed to any participant without a name badge.
Passport or National identity card (Photo ID) may be requested when collecting your badge.
Please return your security badges to HPE Reception or HPE Security prior to your departure.
Bus Shuttle
Shuttle services are NOT organized from the airports to Grenoble.
Detailed bus schedules from hotels to Event site (and way back) will be communicated onsite and in hotels.
Cloakroom
For your convenience, a cloakroom facility will be set up at the HPE office. Luggage can be stored there prior to hotel check-in or airport departures.

Credit Cards
MasterCard, Visa credit cards are widely accepted throughout the city.
Currency
France is part of the Euro European Currency Union and uses the Euro € as currency.
Foreign currency can be exchanged in all banks and bureau de change. Exchange rates can fluctuate from one bank to another. Many banks offer differing exchange rates depending on the denominations of currency being bought or sold. Check with banks for details and current rates.

Disabled facilities are available at the HPE Grenoble site. Should you need to arrange assistance prior to the event, please contact the
registration team.

Dress code
During the 2016 HPC & OSL TES, the dress code is business casual for business and evening events.

Electrical Sockets
Electrical appliances in France operate on 220 Volts with continental style sockets, so you may wish to bring an international adapter in order to use your own electrical equipment as the hotels only have limited numbers.
Emergency Procedures
- At the event location: in case of emergency, please alert a member of the event team, conference centre staff or security who will directly contact the emergency services.
- At your hotel: please contact the hotel's main reception desk or telephone operator.
- Emergency numbers to dial from a fixed line:
- The emergency telephone numbers in France are 17 for police, 15 for SAMU (Mobile Emergency Medical Service), +33 4.38.70.17.01 for SOS Doctor and 18 for fire brigade.

Internet access
Free Wireless internet will be provided throughout the facility.
Recommended hotels will also provide free Wi-Fi or cable internet access.
Language
Conference proceedings will be conducted in English.
Local time
Grenoble is in the Central European Time (CET) zone, one hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

Meals
The following meals will be served on a complimentary basis:
- Lunches are provided on all event days. Please see agenda for timings and location.
- Dinner is provided on Tuesday and Thursday
- If you have any dietary requirements, please indicate it during your registration
Mobile phones
We kindly ask you to switch off your mobile phones during the sessions.
Passports
Non-EU passport holders are advised to contact the appropriate diplomatic or consular authorities for visa requirement details
Pictures
During event, The 2016 TES is under strict non-disclosure. It is therefore not permitted to take pictures or film sessions at the event location and in the conference rooms at any time.
Registration
This is an invitation-only event, therefore pre-registration is mandatory.
Access to the event will not be allowed to unregistered participant.

Security
Grenoble hotels are generally secure facilities but we recommend that Traveller's Cheques, jewellery, passports and other value items to be kept in the hotel's strongbox or safe. We do not recommend carrying large sums of cash or Traveller's Cheques with you when out in the city. Please do not leave bags unattended in public areas of the hotel
Session booking
Sessions will be available for booking 3 to 4 weeks prior to the event.
You will receive an e-mail informing you when the registration for the sessions is available.
This is a mandatory step to complete the registration process and attend the event.
Smoking
Please note that smoking is not allowed by law in any public building in France. Smoking is only allowed outside of the HPE site.

Visas
If you need a visa for your journey, you can request an invitation letter during the registration process.
The invitation letter will be addressed directly to the delegate (Soft Copy or Hard Copy).
